Live In The UK And Thinking Of An Andorra Ski Holiday?

The following companies are offering the best Andorra skiing holiday deals for this year's Andorra skiing holidays season.

Checking out all four will often result in a saving of several hundred pounds for exactly the same Andorra ski holidays:

Crystal Ski Holidays

Thomson Ski Holidays

Neilson Ski & Board Holidays

Thomas Cook Ski Holidays

Soldeu & El Tarter

Arguably the best known area in Andorra for skiing, Soldeu and El Tarter (next door villages) are lively, good value for money, modern and friendly, with great skiing and snowboarding facilities.

The skiing in Soldeu is good for beginners and intermediates, and there are some advanced descents for the more experienced skier through the powder fields below Pic d'Encampadana. For snowboarders, Soldeu’s half pipe and an additional natural half-pipe makes the resort a popular choice.

Pas de la Casa

Often referred to locally just as 'Pas', it is the highest altitude skiing area in Andorra.

Good snow often lasts until the first week of May, and Pas de la Casa is linked to nearby Grau Roig, making this the best resort in Andorra for advanced skiers.

Arinsal and Pal

Arinsal and nearby Pal offer good skiing for both the novice and the intermediate skier, and first time skiers often head for Arinsal and Pal for their first holiday or two before heading for Soldeu and Pas de la Casa.

Arinsal is a little different from Soldeu and Pas de la Casa too in that it has quite a few full time residents and the villages are 'year round' while the others are fairly seasonal. For this reason Arinsal and Pal can be the perfect answer to those who are embarking on their first ski holiday as there is more than just skiing, Ordino and her first class sports centre is easily accessed for example, and if you decide skiing isn’t for you, you do have other choices too.

Also the capital la Vella is reachable by public transport, and the duty free shopping and department stores.

Arinsal is good too for snowboard activities with a freestyle area.

Ordino

Because Ordino has a northeast / northwest location the quality and quantity of snow is good.

A little like Arinsal, Ordino has year round residents and is not purely a ski resort like Soldeu and Pas de la Casa, so if you are going skiing for the first time this could be a good place to choose as there are alternatives to skiing closeby in case you decide you don’t like skiing or snowboarding.

Ordino has a very good sports centre for example.

Ordino also has good transport connections to the capital la Vella, with the department stores and duty free shopping.

Ordino and Arinsal both have good child care facilities.

Ordino is good for novice, intermediate and advanced skiers, who might be interested in the over 10km of cross-country trails.
